Meet The Winemaker Dinner {Tokaj Meets Its Match in India}
Thursday February 25th at 6:30pm Kashmir Indian Restaurant V. Arany János utca 13, BudapestA Taste Hungary Meet The Winemaker Dinner {Tokaj Meets Its Match in India}
Featuring Katalin Hudácskó, Winemaker at Hudácskó Winery (Tokaj)
Tokaji wines are most often thought of as dessert wines, as well as the ideal pair for foie gras. They are also the perfect match for Indian food, and other heavily-spiced cuisines. The complexity of flavors and spices begs for off-dry to sweet wines with good acidity to balance the heat. Dine with winemaker Katalin Hudácskó, who will guide us through the singular process of creating Tokaj wine, and the principles of pairing it with food. Join Taste Hungary for this special opportunity to sample the impressive wines from this small off-the-radar Tokaj winery paired with a tasting menu by Kahsmir.
9,000 HUF per person {includes five-course dinner, eight selected wines, mineral water, and gratuity}. Advance registration is required. Email hello@tastehungary.com to reserve.
BONUS: We will be giving away a pair of tickets to the annual Eger Wine Gala at the Academy of Sciences (V. Roosevelt tér), where 32 Eger winemakers, including 2009 Winemaker of the Year Dr. György Lőrincz, will be pouring more than 150 types of wine. February 27, starting at 10am. (Tickets are courtesy of the Borkultúra Nonprofit Kft.)
