Summer Group Market Tours
We will be offering group market tours on Fridays during June (beginning on June 18th) and July. The tour will begin at the Central Market Hall and will include a visit to one other market (it will take between three and four hours). If there is interest, we could head to a traditional local restaurant afterwards for a group lunch (not included in the price). 8,000 HUF per person. RSVP to book a spot (groups will be limited to 6 participants).
Tokaj Harvest Day Trip
Saturday October 16
Come experience the Tokaj harvest with us! We will spend the afternoon at a family vineyard, where there will be the opportunity to visit the vineyards, help pick the grapes, and see the famous aszú berries (the botrytised grapes used for making sweet Tokaj wine). The harvest in Tokaj occurs later than in other regions to give the grapes the chance to reach the “noble rot.” This harvest trip will be a great opportunity for novices to Tokaj wine to learn about the unique process of creating these famous sweet wines. For those who are already pros at drinking Tokaj wine, experiencing Tokaj during the harvest period will add to your appreciation of this “Wine of Kings, King of Wines.” There will be plenty of food, and great wine throughout the day.
The price for this day trip is 30,000 HUF per person, all-inclusive of transportation, wine tastings, and meals.
